The Natural Awakenings Calendar is a very popular section of our magazine and an important reason our readers pick up and refer to the magazine throughout the month. It’s an excellent way to spread the news about your festival, event, class, lecture or other healthy, green living happening!

The magazine features three calendars:

    For one-time event listings. $15 per listing
    For regular classes, meetings, etc., that occur on an ongoing basis. $15 per listing.
    A great option to highlight an event in the current month’s calendar or to inform readers of an event coming in a future month. Mark Your Calendars are highlighted 2.4 x 2.4 inch boxes with text only that holds approximately 50 words (300 characters of 8 pt font).  $59 each.

Calendar Submission Guidelines:

  • Submission deadline:
    The cutoff date for any month’s issue is the 10th of the preceding month. We appreciate and encourage people to send their listings in as soon as possible to give us time to prepare the magazine. All listings must be resubmitted each month.
  • Submit to:

  • Payment:
    All calendar listings must be pre-paid before publication. After submission, we will contact you via email with payment instructions. We will soon have online payment system.
  • Word Limit:
    Events calendar–50 characters or less. Ongoing calendar–50 characters or less. We reserve the right to edit as needed.
  • Writing Style:
    Please write objectively in the third person, without using words like I, we, me, my, mine, our, us, you, your, etc.
  • Free Calendar Listings for Magazine Advertisers:
    If you have a display ad in the magazine (1/2 page or greater package), you are allowed up to five free listings in the current Events or Ongoing calendar sections. If you have an ad package smaller than 1/2 page in the magazine, you are allowed three free calendar listings.  Community Resource Guide list in the magazine, receive one free calendar listings Additional listings may be purchased at the standard rate.
